Ord River Boat Cruise

The Ord River provides one of the most stunning river systems in Australia – it is scenically beautiful and rich in wildlife and flora. Traversing the eastern Kimberley region for 650km, the Ord River was discovered in 1879 by Alexander Forrest and was named after Sir Harry Ord, Governor of Western Australia (1877–80) and as with Lake Argyle, it is designated as a RAMSAR wetland of International Significance.  Enjoy a boat cruise along the Ord River, departing from Lake Argyle your local boat guide will show you remarkable landscapes, an abundance of birdlife and give you an exhilarating ride before experiencing a magical sunset on the water as you arrive in Kununurra.
